The firm EXIOM Partners specializes in Financial Services for companies in the insurance and banking sectors, and works mainly in the fields of Finance, Risk and Compliance with its clients, both on the business side and on the IT side.

Job description

Join a real entrepreneurial adventure in finance! You will be attached to the quantitative division of Exiom, which currently has 20 employees and is involved in particular in modeling missions in market risk, credit risk as well as in the valuation of derivatives. As part of a close-knit team, you will work throughout your internship on an R&D subject consisting in the development/improvement of existing tools on the following topics (non-exhaustive list):

  • Valuation of financial instruments, vanilla or structured, on any asset class (rates, shares, foreign exchange, credit, inflation, etc.),
  • Counterparty or market risk measurement and analysis
  • Implementation of new models for disseminating risk factors,

The different milestones for each R&D subject will normally be the following:

  • Bibliographical research to provide a state of the art of the models to be implemented,
  • Implementation in an existing tool or creation of a new tool,
  • Writing unit tests to validate the implementation
  • Creation of a Jupyter Notebook in order to provide examples of use,
  • Documentation of the work done.

Your profile

  • You are in the final year of a major engineering school or hold a master's degree specialized in
    financial mathematics, statistics or actuarial science,
  • You are proficient in programming (C++, C#, Python, etc.), as well as version management software (GIT),
  • You are comfortable in an international professional environment and you speak French and English fluently,
  • You are interested in the idea of working in a “start-up” environment and in a young firm in a phase of strong growth.

This is a pre-employment internship, with the majority of our interns receiving a permanent contract offer at the end of their internship
